Neighbor's Pitbull
Mood:
loud
My neighbor's pitbull, actually they're a few houses down from us, scared the bejesus out of me. As I was walking Tyler today, this stupid pitbull got all excited, jumped out of his backyard, and took off after me and Tyler.
I saw him hopped the fence, which must be at least 6 feet tall and when he caught up with me and Tyler, I was sure he's going to attack us. I was so stunned to react at first but when his face was just inches away from Tyler, I let out this blood curdling scream. I screamed "NO!!!!" so loud that a guy from a street over rushed outside from his house to see what the hell is going on.
I must have looked very menacing to this dog when I screamed because I saw fear flashed on his face for a nanosecond. And that was for a good reason because I was seriously thinking of kicking him on the jaw if he takes one more step towards Tyler. I was scared shit too but I couldn't let anything happen to my baby.
We had a brief stand-off, he looked at me as if trying to measure me up. I held my ground and stared back at him. I then startled him by yelling "Go away!". He gave me one last look as if he's saying I'm one crazy woman before he turned around very sllooowwlly. I pulled Tyler to the opposite direction and we briskly head home.
When we got home, my hands were shaking and there's a funny taste in my mouth. It took a few minutes before I really calmed down. When I did, I walked to that dog's house, sans Tyler of course, just in time for his owner to pull up to their driveway. I told him what happened and he was very sorry. Apparently, this is not the first time his dog hopped the fence. The owner said that he might have to tie his dog up or something.
On my way back, I talked to the guy who heard my screams and he had no idea what happened until I explained it to him.
I know Tyler would have put up a good fight if it came to that but my boy is a lover, not a fighter.
I will get a pepper spray first thing in the morning because I refuse to have one stupid, butt-ugly dog run me off my street.
Sure, I will be scared but I will not let that stop me from walking Tyler. Next time that dog, or any dog for that matter tries to attack us, I'll pepper spray his face.
I sure learned a lot from this incident but I'd like to process them some more in my head. I'll post them later on.
